Daily Note

  • 您为某一天撰写的文字内容;
  • 与该记录关联的日期(日历日);
  • 您选择的心情标记(若有);

  • 本地偏好设置,例如是否开启生物识别解锁、外观模式(浅色/深色/跟随系统)、界面语言、配色主题、是否开启 iCloud 同步等;

  • 在设备本地保存与读取您的记录,以便您随时查看、编辑或删除;
  • 在您授权时,通过相册或相机接口获取您选择的一张图片并保存于记录中;
  • 在您开启时,使用系统提供的生物识别或设备密码验证,用于进入应用前的解锁流程及「数据重置」等敏感操作;
  • 在您开启 iCloud 同步时,通过 Apple 提供的 CloudKit 相关能力在您的设备与 iCloud 之间同步数据(详见下一节);
  • 在您主动触发导出时,生成本地文件并通过系统分享界面交由您处置;

Privacy Policy

Notes · Daily Note

Capture a little each day, keep every day

Last updated: September 6, 2026

This Privacy Policy applies to “Notes” (小记) (the “App,” “we,” or “us”). Notes is a lightweight journal on your device for daily text, optional mood tags, and optional photos. There are no ads and no social features. We value your privacy—please read the information below.

If you have questions or suggestions, contact us at klas.lu@qq.com. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the App.

Summary

Core data: Journal text, dates, mood tags, photos you choose to add, and in-app stats (such as entry counts) are created through your active use of the App.

Default storage: When iCloud sync is off, this data is stored only on your device (via SwiftData and related system mechanisms). We do not upload your journal content to any developer-operated server.

Optional iCloud (CloudKit): If you enable “iCloud Auto Sync” in Settings, relevant data is synced across devices linked to your Apple account through Apple iCloud / CloudKit. Apple provides this infrastructure and its privacy policy and terms apply. We do not gain separate access to your iCloud content because of this feature.

Photos & Camera: The App requests photo library or camera access only when you choose to add or take a photo for an entry. We do not scan or upload other items in your library.

Biometric unlock: If you enable Face ID, Touch ID, or device passcode unlock, verification is performed locally by the operating system to protect app access and sensitive actions such as “Reset All Data.” We do not collect or upload biometric data.

Export: When you export as PDF or image, files are generated locally and shared through the system share sheet to a destination you choose. We do not upload them on your behalf.

Data reset: You may initiate “Reset All Data” in Settings. After double confirmation and biometric or passcode verification, all journal entries in the App are permanently deleted on your device.

No sale, no ads: We do not sell your journal data to third parties, and the App does not include third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.

1. What information do we process?

In brief: Information processed by the App relates directly to your daily journaling and is primarily created on your device.

1.1 Journal and entry content

  • Text you write for a given day;
  • The calendar date associated with each entry;
  • Optional mood tags you select;
  • One optional photo per entry, from your library or camera.

1.2 App-related data

  • Local preferences such as biometric lock, appearance (light/dark/system), language, color theme, and iCloud sync;
  • Statistics derived locally from your entries (total days, streaks, etc.) shown inside the App.

1.3 What we do not actively collect

We do not require an account or ask for your name, phone number, or similar identifiers for developer registration. We do not use your journal for profiling or advertising. Except when you choose to export or email us for support, we do not ask you to send us full journal content.

2. How do we use this information?

In brief: To provide, maintain, and improve core features such as journaling, calendar browsing, lists, stats, settings, and export on your device.

  • Save and read entries locally so you can view, edit, or delete them;
  • When authorized, access one photo you select from the library or camera for an entry;
  • When enabled, use system biometric or passcode verification for app unlock and sensitive actions such as “Reset All Data”;
  • When iCloud sync is enabled, use Apple CloudKit capabilities to sync data between your device and iCloud (see next section);
  • When you export, generate local files and hand them to you through the system share interface;
  • When you initiate “Reset All Data” and pass verification, delete all journal entries in the App.

3. iCloud sync and third parties

Apple iCloud / CloudKit: With iCloud sync off, data stays on your device by default. With sync on, SwiftData-related data syncs to your iCloud account under Apple’s mechanisms. Scope, availability, and security depend on your Apple ID, network, iOS version, and Apple policies.

The App does not include a developer-operated “cloud journal server” for your text and images. We cannot directly read your iCloud content like a private database we control.

System & sharing: When you use in-app feedback links to open Mail, or share exported files through the system share sheet, the information is handled by the app or service you choose. Please review their privacy policies as well.

4. How long is information retained?

  • On device: You may edit or delete individual entries, or delete all entries via “Reset All Data.” Uninstalling the App usually removes local data (subject to iOS behavior).
  • iCloud: If sync was enabled, some data may remain in iCloud linked to your Apple account until you delete entries on device, reset all data, or manage data through Apple’s account tools. See Apple’s documentation for details.

5. How do we protect your information?

Data is primarily protected by your device’s security (screen lock, sandboxing). Optional in-app unlock adds another layer if others may access your device. Keep your device and Apple account secure, and use iCloud sync on trusted networks.

6. Your rights and controls

You can manage entries and settings in the App at any time, including export for backup, deleting individual entries, and “Reset All Data” after double confirmation and identity verification. Where applicable law grants rights to access, correct, or delete personal information stored on your device or in your iCloud account, you can usually exercise them through in-app deletion, system settings, or Apple account tools. Contact us using Section 8 if you have questions about this policy.

7. Updates to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The revised “Last updated” date will reflect the current version. For material changes, we will provide notice when appropriate. We encourage you to review this page occasionally.
